CA Biodiversity Day

Sierra Streams Institute runs an all-day, self-guided bioblitz on the Deer Creek Tribute Trail for California Biodiversity Day. Participants walk the trail on their own schedule and record species observations using the iNaturalist app.

The observations feed into a public dataset that researchers use to track biodiversity along Deer Creek. Anyone who logs 30 species receives a Sierra Streams 30th anniversary cup.
