Champion Mine Trail Race 2026

The Champion Mine Trail Race returns for its second year, hosted by Bear Yuba Land Trust and the Sierra Trailblazers Run Club. Runners start at the historic Miners Foundry, head up Broad Street, then follow Champion Mine Road into the Deer Creek Tribute Trail system, crossing a swinging bridge and running gravel roads and scenic singletrack through towering pines. Three distances: half marathon (13.1 miles), a new 10K, and a 5K run/walk. All registrations include a locally made finishers medal and a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Nevada City Police Department; a custom race t-shirt is included with the half marathon and available for purchase with the 5K and 10K.
