Girls Town

The Onyx Downtown screens Jim McKay's 1996 film Girls Town at the Nevada Theatre. Four high school seniors in mid-1990s New York, played by Lili Taylor, Bruklin Harris, Anna Grace and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, have their last year upended by a sudden loss.

This is the first title in Growing Pains, a new Onyx Downtown series of coming-of-age films. Screenings at the Nevada Theatre carry no age restriction, though not every film is suited to children.
